I was sure that these "Hamizrach Matches" labels were not actually used on Matchboxes....
I have these nice "Hamizrach Matches" labels dated 60's. I was sure, as I have seen them only as mint labels, that they were not actually glued on boxes those days. I check it with other collectors, and nobody saw them on boxes.
These are mine:
So I was very surprise, to find this photo showing 2 of these labels on wood, that was of course the upper part of the Matchboxes.
So here is the photo I found:

Is "find the differences" sound familiar to you?
Chiwen
This is the fish-like, hornless dragon with a very truncated body and large, wide mouth usually found along roof ridges (as if swallowing the roof beams). His presence on roofs is also said to guard against fires. A paragraph in the Tang dynasty book Su Shi Yan Yi (苏氏演义) by Su E (苏鹗) says that a mythical sea creature called the chi wen [sic] was put on the roofs of buildings during the Han dynasty to protect the structures from fire hazards. This dragon is still found on the roofs of traditional Chinese homes today, protecting the inhabitants from fires. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

The story of Mickey Mouse by Arnon & Walt Disney
Mickey Mouse is a funny animal cartoon character created in
1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at the Walt Disney Studios. Mickey is an
anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large yellow shoes, and
white gloves. As the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company, Mickey is one
of the most recognizable cartoon characters in the world. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
Mickey's figure can be seen on many Japanese Matchboxes of the 50's as a selling promoter of Bars and Restaurants etc. that were aimed for the American soldiers of those days.
I have only one Japanese label of Mickey, but I hope to find more...
There are so many other out there, that I don't have, cause they are so expansive and requested...

There are so many other out there, that I don't have, cause they are so expansive and requested...
So this is the story of Mickey Mouse by Arnon & Walt Disney:
My name is Mikey!
Hello evrybody!
I have a huge Cigarette! Wow, that's a different story....
So, listen to my story...
One day I bailed out from school
...and decided to visit my old
Grandma Miney
She was out of home, so I took a walk
Suddenly it began to rain
on my walk back home I met my friend Betty
She said she has a lot of wine and she
can't drink it all by herself
I told her that I can't get drunk today
...cause I was already planning to
meet my friend Minnie...
She was so sad...
...So this is me and my friend Minnie
I suggested that we go to the Tea Room or
to the London Bar to play the piano and dance
She said she is hungry,
so we went to a restaurant
I gave her a lovely soup
After I paid the bill...we went home together
happily ever after
So this is my story...I am sure you all like it!
Good bye!
